I’m a sinner saved by grace as a senior in high school. Beverly and I have been married 50 years.
I’m a Bible teacher. I’ve been a pastor and an interim pastor, but I’ve spent over 40 years as a New Testament professor, mostly at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. I retired from full-time teaching in 2018 and was recognized as emeritus professor in 2019. I’m currrently involved in teaching at our church and on an adjunct basis at at GRTS and Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary.
Beverly and I are members at Chapel Pointe in Hudsonville MI. We love our church and we’re involved in teaching and small group ministry there. We enjoy exploring lighthouses, and walking the beach in search of Petoskey stones in NW lower Michigan. But our real challenge is finding agates on the shore of the big lake they call Gitchegumee. We’re involved with the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society and the Museum at Whitefish Point.
I enjoy listening to all sorts of music and playing guitar. Being from Ohio, I’m a fan of Buckeye football and, sadly, of the Cincinnati Reds. But this could be our year . . .
